Finished projects!

My lazyness continues when it comes to blogging, but not on projects! Yesterday, I finished up two projects I tell you, and I started a new one!

Simon from Yogscast was finished early in the morning hours yesterday. I've been working on him for about 10 days, and maybe you remember me ranting about getting the right skincolor for him.
I do love how he turned out! I maybe should have left his beard a bit longer, but it'll just have to do. Next  up is Sjin, he'll hopefully be easy with his white/orange space suit. I might just work up Sips at the same time so that I'll get their suits right.

The second project that I finished up yesterday, I started back in february. It's another pair of baby rompers, but this pair's for my 'Murican crafting friend Carolyn whom are expecting a baby boy in august. I'm planning on working up a matching cardigan as well, and maybe some socks and a few hats. Made in merino wool on 2,5mm needles. Pattern can be found here.

I just love colorful projects! So much fun! And speaking of colorful projects, I did start the cuddly pullover sweater last night. It's impossible to catch the colors on camera. The Alpaca, the darker thread has a green hue to it, while it appears bright blue in every picture I take.

The last pullover I made, the bamboo one are still lying around, waiting to get the ends weaved in.

Progress of the day - 2nd feb

Welp! Didn't get as much knitting done today as I've hoped cause I decided to bake bread today! Yeah! Didn't have much to put in the bread though so I just did a fine dough and added oregano to two of the breads so we could eat it along with different types of dinners, one normal and just for kicks, the last one with a bit of honey! Have just tasted the oregano bread so far and put the other three in the fridge, but it was good! If I decide to make them more, I need to remember to add more oregano... I'd also like to try and add cheese sometime... I also had to bike over to fetch pizza's that Bård ordered so I've been quite busy today.

Anyways! I managed to finish both legs for the baby rompers today! I've put them both on the same circular now and I'm ready to continue the body! I've been pondering if I should decrease the yellow stripes since I only got one skein of it...and I would like to make a matching jacket... So hopefully it won't look too weird... I'm also hoping that the more green I put in the rest of the body, the more it will drown the purple, cause right now, these feels too girlish for me... I don't know...

Welp, good night guys!

Progress of the day - 1st of feb

A new month! Woh!

I finished off two projects at the end of january and ofcourse I had to start a new one...instead of working on all the other UFO's lying around my house... So pulled out the baby merino wool I bought for baby CarCar last month and started the rompers of a baby set. Ofcourse it's Drops...as pretty much everything else I'm doing.

I started off the first leg in blue, thinking the "main color" could be blue... But as I worked with it and thought of what color combinations to do after this, I decided to frog it and do it in purple instead to make it more gender neutral.

The first color combo I tried on the body was like this:

But as I worked it up, it felt too boyish and frogged it down to the purple again. Tossing out the blue color, I did normal stripes in yellow and green... And it's pretty funky...

I think it would look awesome when finished though, so I'm sticking with it! Hopefully it's gender neutral enough.

I am knitting in size 6-9 months so that baby CarCar will have something warm during winter. He/she is due in august some time, so knitting it in 0-3 months may not give it the maximum use.

I am thinking about making the sweater from a different pattern though, just so I can match the style better.

Anyway, that's pretty much all I did today...except playing Minecraft...
