Too excited right now! I love my Batman sweater so much! Even though people look at me a bit weirdly while I use it out in public...

Batman all done

Last blogpost about this, I promise!

Batman is now dry and I've been able to take good pictures of it! Enjoy! This is my own creation and based of a different pattern. Please, do not copy or alter it in any way. Knitted on 3,5mm needles in Silja superwash

The Batman is finished!

Sorry for late blogpost, the sweater has been finished for quite some time allready...I've just been too lazy...

I decided to skip making the hood, though I might do a sweater later on with hood, I do like to challenge myself with new things, but I had to get this one done as soon as possible anyway, and it looked super cool without hood.

I only had the ribbing left today, so it was a quick job. Weaving in ends and sewing up the armholes took just as long time as the neckline ribbing did.
So here's the final result! Also a kinda crappy shot of the back to show off the shortened rows.

I've washed it and now laid it out flat to dry and block at the same time and the fair-isle allready look so much better!

The second top row is supposed to say "Joker" but it's impossible to see it in the mirror so here's a close up the right way.

And then there's the curse of having a 3/4 white cat... Black projects NEVER stay black...

Look how many fucks he give about shedding all over my sweater...still can't help but to love him though <3

So yes! Batman is now finished! I'll get real pictures of it when it's all dried and stuffz! I just can't wait to be able to wear this thing 24/7!
I am currently back on the rompers for baby CarCar, got just about 5cm (2") left before starting the yoke on it! Can't wait to get it finished and ready! I'm also going to start Pickle's cowl soon enough and after that, Annet's fancy cable slippers! Fun times!

Batman is almost finished!

Oh my god! I'm so close to finish of Batman guys! Just finished the fair-isle around the yoke and will now do shortened rows in the neck and one last decreasing before ribbing and finished!

As I've said earlier, I was thinking about doing a hood for it, but after trying it on now, I decided against it and will just end with ribbing.

I love this yarn for sweaters though! Even though Silja is more a sock type yarn, it is perfect for sweaters like this. It's strong, and thin, yet warm and cozy. It's also light so the sweater doesn't weigh too much when worn. I will most likely make more sweaters with this yarn, and I do want more Marius sweaters...

What do you guys think? It took me about 10 days to make! Still not 100% done so I might count it as 11, but it's dang fast for a sweater if you ask me!

Still no big fan of yellow though...

Batman sweater WIP

A quick little WIP on Batman here!
I'm only working on this sweater until it's finished, and since it's such a huge piece, it takes some time to make progress on it. I've done quite a good chunk of the fair-isle now and I'm almost done with the Batman logos in the middle. Before you ask, yes it is based of the ever so popular Marius pattern so you could say it's just another Marius version...but I still like to call it Batman.

Note to self though... Silja looks best when worked fair-isle on 3mm needles or thinner... I am using 3,5mm needles and I feel that the knitwork feels a little loose and the fair-isle ain't the prettiest... Gonna need a hell of a blocking when it's finished, that's for sure. Still love this yarn and I will for sure make more garments with it!

Batman is currently only 9 days in the making!
