So, after knitting on the blue, fluffy pullover straight for a few days, I started to worry about the amount of yarn that went into it. After some measuring, I found out that it was 50cm (aboout 20") too wide! I could easily fit two of myself inside of it! After some rethinking, I ended up frogging it all and started over, this time with 64 stitches less in the round. Now it grew really fast and seemed to be the perfect size. Took me two days to finish up the body alone at snail speed. I also started the first sleeve last night, so it's currently looking good!
It's impossible to get the colors right on picture though. It has a green hue to it, and it's still very bright. I'm using Alpaca from Drops in the color 2919l, called "light petrol", but even the website can't get the color right on it. It's beautiful though! I'm not usually a blue person, but I am really digging this shade.
Also, my little Yogscast amigurumis are slowly getting there. I am now currently working on Sips and Sjin. They both wears these Portal inspired space suits, so I had to work them both side by side to make sure they turned out equal. They're joined by the hip in real life, so making them both at the same time makes sense.
Just sewed on their little heads a few moments ago. Yes, Sips (the blue one) has white skin. Next will be their arms.

Retro Marius sweater is done!
YAY! It's finally done! I spent all last night on weaving ends, but I managed to finish it up and I ran to the postoffice earlier today and sent the sweater out.
I was in a hurry yesterday cause I wanted to get pictures of it while it was some daylight outside. I didn't even care to weave in the ends before I did it, so half the pictures that was taken shows ends sticking out or the opening under the arms... Very attractive!
But I did manage to get some decent pictures and I'm very pleased with this sweater, even though it's yellow...
And ofcourse, I can't stay serrious all the way through a photoshoot...
But the sweater is done! It's sent off...even though I didn't get time to wash and block it myself, I hope my friend will do it at some point when she gets it. Right now I'm trying to work on another secret project! The one I started on...about a month ago are now done and will be revealed soon enough, so just you wait! I'm not sure if I'll have time for small, inbetween projects, so please excuse me if the blog goes quiet again...

Fair-isle WIP on retro Marius
Taking my sweet ass time on this one, sorry!
I'm kinda in the middle of the fair-isle part of the retro colores Marius sweater now. I'm kinda starting to run out of yarn, but if I'm lucky, I might be able to finish with what I have left...maybe...
The knitwork doesn't look as "clean" right now, which is a mix between the yarn and how the fair-isle is worked up. Up close it looks unprofessional and messy, but it'll be fixed and flattened out during blocking.
I've just finished the third out of six decrease rounds in the fair-isle part. I've just started the first round of the "main part" in the fair-isle, the one with the crosses and diamonds in the traditional Marius pattern.

Ps: Yes, I know I said I were to update the blogdesign a few weeks ago... I've been lazy and unmotivated lately, but I'll get around to it soon! I've just charged my camera so I really don't have much of an excuse anylonger...

Sleeves done - Marius WIP
And the sleeves for the Marius sweater are done! Sorry for giving you guys so few updates these days, but between procastinating, there's not really much to report for knitting a few more inches on a couple of sleeves.
But they're done now and here's a picture!
I'm really glad that I ordered an extra skein cause I'm about to run out of yarn...hate when that happends!

Retro Marius sweater WIP
Again, sorry for blablabla...like you've never heard this before...
Here's a little update on the retro Marius sweater! I've now finally started the first sleeve. Been procastinating with Pokemon for the last...week...but I'm trying my best to do some knitting inbetween. That and crying my eyes out cause of the finale of How I Met Your Mother...
When that is said, the transparent rain boots have arrived...I think... I just need to fetch them at the post office, hopefully tomorrow, so I'll be having an awesome photoshoot soon and at the same time get started on the spring makeover for my blog...which is about time since spring is early this year...

WIP retro colored Marius!
Ofcourse at the time when I need to work on a sweater that my friend ordered, I have to get this Minecraft urge... Crazyness...
Oh yes! A friend of mine ordered a sweater! I've forgotten to tell you guys about that! A week ago I ordered yarn for it, loads of wonderfull Merino yarn from Drops and late on tuesday I fired up the needles! ...but I've been a lazy butt, so sorry for REALLY slow update!
This is going to be a Marius with round yoke in stylish retro colors. The main color will be mustard yellow while the fair-isle pattern will be cream and the neckline dark brown.
But as I've said, I've been procastinating... Right now I'm trying to kick in a second gear into my needles, but it's not really working for some reason... I'm at 12cm (almost 5") right now and will start the waist curving pretty soon.

Fun times! So much fun to make Marius sweaters again! Think I gotta try and finish up the sweater I promised Bård forever ago after this...

The Legend of Zelda fair-isle socks!
They are dooooooooooone! Finally! Legend of Zelda socks! I'm such a nerd... I do love me some Zelda and I do collect the Zelda games.
I redrew all the charts myself, it took me three days, but I did base them off this pattern, just because I'm too lazy to do test knits and all the calculations myself.

Batman is almost finished!
Oh my god! I'm so close to finish of Batman guys! Just finished the fair-isle around the yoke and will now do shortened rows in the neck and one last decreasing before ribbing and finished!
As I've said earlier, I was thinking about doing a hood for it, but after trying it on now, I decided against it and will just end with ribbing.
I love this yarn for sweaters though! Even though Silja is more a sock type yarn, it is perfect for sweaters like this. It's strong, and thin, yet warm and cozy. It's also light so the sweater doesn't weigh too much when worn. I will most likely make more sweaters with this yarn, and I do want more Marius sweaters...
What do you guys think? It took me about 10 days to make! Still not 100% done so I might count it as 11, but it's dang fast for a sweater if you ask me!
Still no big fan of yellow though...

Batman sweater WIP
A quick little WIP on Batman here!
I'm only working on this sweater until it's finished, and since it's such a huge piece, it takes some time to make progress on it. I've done quite a good chunk of the fair-isle now and I'm almost done with the Batman logos in the middle. Before you ask, yes it is based of the ever so popular Marius pattern so you could say it's just another Marius version...but I still like to call it Batman.
Note to self though... Silja looks best when worked fair-isle on 3mm needles or thinner... I am using 3,5mm needles and I feel that the knitwork feels a little loose and the fair-isle ain't the prettiest... Gonna need a hell of a blocking when it's finished, that's for sure. Still love this yarn and I will for sure make more garments with it!
Batman is currently only 9 days in the making!
